Jesi and Ryan Malloy
After moving to Tennessee, I married my best friend 6 years ago. We now have two little girls, Adalyn age 2 and Eliana born Thanksgiving 2011. We are soaking in every moment being parents. We also have a 4 legged child, Skylar, who is a great big sister. We are incredibly blessed and hope to share a piece of our life with you through this blog.

Adalyn's Nursery Complete!

Friday, March 19, 2010

The women in my family know how to get things done. When Mom and Mema came up for the shower this past weekend, there was no doubt Adalyn's nursery would come together, but I didn't expect how much I would LOVE it! My mom and Ryan worked on hanging things in the room like curtains, the quilt hanger, name letters, and other trinkets. My grandmother was very helpful with sewing projects like the quilt tabs and bumper ties. The great thing is, if we have a baby tomorrow, she's got everything she needs to sleep in her room! Here are the photos of Adalyn's finished nursery:

The quilt hanger made by my grandfather:

The diaper changing station made by Papa as well:

Big Sister Skylar is ready!

And still waiting...

And that will be the theme for the next 3 weeks... waiting. We have two more childbirth classes- newborn care and breastfeeding- that we will finish by next Tuesday. Our projects for this weekend include creating and freezing some meals, installing car seats, and cleaning house. My doctor's visits are now once a week on Mondays, but I haven't shown much progress so far. (Will be picking up walking soon.) Since I will be full-term on Sunday we can expect her to come anytime in the next few weeks!
