Malloy Family Memories

1 Week Old

Friday, April 16, 2010

Adalyn turned one week old on April 16. Ryan stayed home from work this week to help us recover. Here are a couple photo highlights from her first week!

She is trying to suck her thumb and we're not big fans of it!
Being a baby is tough work!
She had her first bath at home on April 16 when she was one week old. Ryan kept telling me I wasn't doing it the same as Amy, our friend who gave Ady her first bath in the hospital.

Her first trip out of the house was to the pediatrician on April 14. She gained weight since she left the hospital- up to 7 lbs 14 oz (she was 7 lbs 9 oz when she left the hospital) but not above birthweight yet! Still feeding every 3 hours makes mommy and daddy very tired!

Ady is sleeping in a Moses basket in the bed with mommy. It makes feeding her at night much easier- and doesn't wake up daddy which allows him to take good care of her during the day since he has more energy. At this point she is pretty hard to wake up and falls asleep while eating at night.
She had the opportunity to meet the "brother cousins" this week too- Joshua and Andrew. Pax is not born yet (shown here in Rebecca's tummy!) but we look forward to his arrival in a couple weeks!

Jesi and Ryan,
I am enjoying reading and looking at the pictures of your new baby girl Adalyn.
