Jesi grew up in Athens, Georgia and was involved in Athens Ballet Theatre, piano, and cheerleading. After graduation from high school, she decided she wanted to live the big city life and packed up her bags for Georgia Tech in Atlanta. It was there her freshman year of college where she met Ryan in a Computer Science class and thought he was joking around too much to take college seriously.
Ryan grew up in the beautiful town of Nashville, Tennessee. Into all things athletic, Ryan did wrestling, tennis, golf, track, and ran cross country. Ryan followed in his family's tradition to attend Georgia Tech where he set his sights on Fiji fraternity and an intriguing nerd in the front row named Jesi.
We continued dating through the rest of our time at Georgia Tech. Jesi graduated with her BS in Industrial Engineering and Ryan graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering, then we began the long distance relationship from Nashville to Atlanta. Jesi stayed behind for her MS in Health Systems and Ryan took his first real job with Phoenix Design Group in Nashville. After enough dating, we decided to make things more serious and Jesi took a job with HCA in Nashville. Ryan popped the question on July 4, 2005 and we were married in Athens, Georgia on May 20, 2006.
We now make our home in Franklin, TN. Since getting married, Ryan has worked hard for his MBA, PE, and Leed certification to add to the engineering repertoire. Jesi has moved to Centennial Medical Center doing process improvement and continues to enjoy bible studies with her church and walks with friends.
On April 9, 2010 we welcomed our little girl, Adalyn, into our family. We are excited to share our journey as a new family and parenthood through this blog.
